We would like to take this opportunity to welcome everyone back after the Easter break, we hope you have all had a fantastic time. The children seem to have enjoyed the Royal Wedding they have all been talking about it. May we also welcome all the new children who have joined us at Cottam Nursery School this term.

Staffing

As some of you may have noticed we have welcomed 3 new members of staff who are all qualified to NVQ level 3 and 1 being a level 4, Miss Battle, Miss Virco and Mrs Singleton, this is due to Mrs Parkinson having to be off on long term sick and the loss of Mrs Bodi who unfortunately had to leave due to family commitments.

Suncream

Please can all parents return suncream reply slips and can we please ask all parents to apply suncream to your child/children before they arrive at nursery, we only reapply at lunchtime for the children who are here for the whole day.

Turning circle

Please ensure you keep the turning circle completely clear to allow all parents full use and so not to cause a hazard to others, it has been brought to our attention that on numerous occasions it has been blocked.

Front door

Please ensure you close the front door behind you, it has been noticed on several occasions parents have left it open, this is for the safety of your child and others. There is always a member of staff on the front desk at arrival and departure times but it only takes seconds for a child to leave through the door.

Gate

Fingers crossed the new gate should be with us this week thank you for your patience during this time.

Vouchers

Thank you to all parents, family and friends who helped us to collect the recent sainsburys vouchers, we will be counting up very soon and will let you know what we are lucky enough to get for the children.

Photographer

We have the photographer coming into nursery on Monday 23rd of May and Tuesday 24th of May to take group pictures, this is at 10am both days, if your child does not attend on these days and you wish them to be on the photographs please bring them in for 10am(due to adult, child ratio we will need you to stay with them).

School Lists

For those children moving up to big school there will be a list in the porch for you to sign to let us know which school your child has been accepted at. This will enable us to invite the reception class teacher to visit your child at nursery to ease the transition.

Reminders

Please can you remember to stick to pick up times 11.30am, 12.30pm, 3.30pm and 5.00pm any late pickups affect your child and others and you may also be charged.

Please remember to name all items of clothing and check the lost property box, also please label all lunch boxes and tubs, we do have some double ups on lunch boxes. ( this is also for your child to recognise their own lunch box)

If there is anything that you would like to bring to our attention, please feel free to talk to any of the staff. We are always open to new ideas or suggestions, there is also the suggestions box in the porch should you wish to use it.
